Ace producer, singer-songwriter, Don Jazzy, is 33 today, November 26, 2015.
He was born Michael Collins Ajereh in Umuahia, Abia State but later relocated to Ajegunle in Lagos, Nigeria where he was raised.
The award winning producer came into limelight in 2004 after he produced and featured on D’banj’s hit track ‘Tongolo’. He went on to produce D’banj’s first studio album titled No Long Thing which was released in 2005.
He created the defunct Mo Hits Records label in 2004 with his former partner, D’banj, and signed artistes like Wande Coal, Dr SID, Kay Switch and D’Prince.
Mo Hits broke up in 2012 shortly after the former partners were signed on to Kanye West’s GOOD MUSIC in 2011.
This event birthed the Supreme Mavin Dynasty, the label that houses artistes like Tiwa Savage, D’Prince, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks and Di’ja.
With multiple awards on his shelf and several hit singles produced by him, Forbes felt it right to rate him the 39th most powerful celebrity in Africa in 2011.
However, Don Jazzy is not all work and no play; he connects with his fan base with hilarious memes, funny pictures and interactive sessions on social media.
