Nollywood actress, Dakore Akande, turns 37 on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. The mother of two has featured in over 50 movies in a career spanning almost two decade. We present 10 fun facts about her

1. A Bayelsan by birth, she was born Dakore Omobola Egbuson.
2. She started acting professionally in 1997.
3. Her brother is Shuga star, Timini Egbuson.
4. She earned a diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.
5. The Caught in the Middle star has been named ambassador for Amnesty International, Amstel Malta and Oxfam of America.
6. Dakore once hosted a sports show called Total Sports on NTA 2, Channels 5 for a year.
7. She got married to Olumide Akande in January 2011 and the union has produced two kids.
8. Dakore was the first presenter on SoundCity.
9. She loves jazz music.
10. Mr Akande has won several awards including the 2005 Nigeria Entertainment Awards for Best Actress and 2005 People’s Choice Awards for Best Actress.
