Every woman has been at that stage where she is not sure if her boyfriend is still in love with his ex. While some men make it clear they still have some feelings, others tend to keep it a secret.
Here are 10 sure signs your boo has not booted his ex-boo out of his life.
- He always talks about her
Whether it is as an insult or complement, if your boyfriend talks about his former fling, there is fire on the mountain. Some women tend to buy the idea that if he talks bad about her, he is over her. Do not be like them. If he is really over her, he will stop whining about it and focus on you.
- He still has her pictures
What other sign do you need to tell you he is not over her when he still keeps her pictures? If your boyfriend has his ex’s pictures on his phone, you are not the only one occupying the space in his heart.
- He insists they are just friends
This is just an excuse to spend more time with the ex. There are other girls he can choose to be friends with, yet, he chose her. Honey, he is still holding some type of feelings towards her. It will not end well for you if she has similar feelings.
- He complains she is seeing someone new
Because you are so in love with him, you might not notice when he complains that his ex is now seeing someone else. But, if you do notice or recall your boyfriend complaining about how his ex is seeing someone new and how the new man might not be good for her, your boyfriend has not let go of his ex. Maybe you should do the letting go.
- He stalks her on social media
The only person your boyfriend should be stalking is you. If he constantly checks his ex’s Facebook update or Instagram post, he is not ready to leave her just yet. Obviously, the lady was the one who called off the relationship.
- He holds onto memories of his ex
The first rule of an official break-up; discard every memory of the ex. It is like a soothing relief, an end to a relationship that was not meant to be. However, if your boyfriend still clings onto memories of his ex; like her letters, hair brush, pyjamas and more, he is still very much into the relationship and might even ditch you if the opportunity presented itself.
- He still contacts her
When someone is your ex, it is obvious they are in your past, there is no reason to keep the person’s contact. If your boyfriend still has his ex’s contact and is obviously using it, there is more to what meets the eye.
- He gets angry when you reference her in a bad way
You know how silly you get when you play with your boyfriend and go “yeah! That woman in American Horror Story looks a lot like your ex-girlfriend”; if your boyfriend flares up and gets angry over funny statements like that, something is up. The truth is men only get defensive over women they have feelings for.
- He mistakenly calls you by her name sometimes
The only reason a man would call you another woman’s name is because he wishes you were her. It is obvious the only thing in his mind is his ex-girlfriend. If it happens more than twice, stop wasting your time.
- You are ‘the other one’ to his parents and friends
When you are the one for a man, he will show you off to his parents and friends. If his parents and friends refer to you as ‘the other one’, he has probably not told them he is over his ex or that you are the number 1 in his life. In most scenarios, you are just a rebound girl.
