Managing director/chief executive officer of Transcorp Hotels Plc Dupe Olusola turned 50 on Thursday.

1. Mrs Olusola was born on September 26, 1974, in Lagos.
2. She attended Queen’s College, Lagos where she obtained her O-levels in 1991. She bagged her bachelor’s degree at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom in 1996.
3. A year later, she earned a master’s degree (MSc) in development economics from the University of Kent.
4. After her MSc, she worked for some time in the United Kingdom before moving back to Nigeria. She worked in different roles with Bloomberg and Northern Trust.
5. On her return to Nigeria, she worked in SecTrust (now Afrinvest) and thereafter with a private equity firm SME Manager/African Capital Alliance and joined the investor relations department of UBA Group in 2008 before a move to Transcorp as director of resources in January 2010.
6. In 2014, she was appointed to lead the now-defunct agribusiness arm of Transcorp, Teragro Commodities Limited as MD/CEO.
7. She later returned to UBA and in 2018 was appointed the bank’s group head of marketing.
8. In March 2020, Olusola was appointed as MD/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, taking over from Owen Omogiafo who was appointed president of Transcorp Group.
