Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has arrested two persons in Maiduguri, Borno State over sexual intercourse in public.
NSCDC Commandant, Abdullahi Ibrahim, said on Friday that the suspects were arrested on Tuesday at Abbaganaram area of Maiduguri.
The unnamed suspects are 20-year-old male and a 17-year-old female.
Abdullahi said the suspects were arrested following complaint by a member of Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), who spotted them having intercourse in public glare.
The male suspect was said to have admitted that he opted for sex in public due to exorbitant hotel bills.
Abdullahi said they would be charged to court after investigation.
