The court did not take their pleas. Wodu adjourned the case to November 14 for mention.
The police had charged the defendants with conspiracy and armed robbery, contrary to Sections 97 and 298 of the Penal Code.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Daniel Ikwoche told the court that Mr Nda Mohammed, a security guard attached to a Globacom mast at Kudu, Mokwa LGA, reported the case at a police station on July 28.
Ikwoche said that about 10 unidentified hoodlums armed with sticks and irons attacked the security guard while on duty, tied his legs and hands and carted away two power generators and diesel.
He said that the hoodlums loaded the items into a Ford car and drove off.
According to him, police detectives arrested the defendants in possession of the vehicle loaded with the stolen items.
He said that, during police investigation, the defendants confessed to having conspired with four others, now at large, to commit the armed robbery.
