Nigeria has recorded 22 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said on Wednesday night.
The agency said on Twitter that the new cases take the total tally in the country to 276.
“Twenty-two new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo,” the NCDC said.
“As of 09:00pm 8th April there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fourty-four have been discharged with six deaths.”
Overall, Lagos now has 145 confirmed cases, the FCT has 54, Edo has 12 while Bauchi has eight.
