A 25-year-old man, Michael Habila, has allegedly stabbed his mother, Esther, to death in Tudun Gwandara community, Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Mr Habila was said to have attacked his mother for unknown reasons in their family compound around 8pm on Wednesday shortly after taking her bath and was heading to her room to dress up for the night.
Nasarawa police spokesperson, Ismaila Usman, who confirmed the incident on Thursday in Lafia, said that policemen who were on patrol duty on Wednesday night around 10pm were called to rescue Habila who was almost lynched by a mob.
