27-year-old Lilian Madubulum breaks Kaffy’s record for Silverbird World Marathon Dance Record

A 27-year-old woman Lilian Madubulum has emerged as winner of the Silverbird World Marathon Dance Record.

Madubulum set a new benchmark with a dance duration of 55 hours and 49 minutes.

Co-founder of Silverbird Group Ben Bruce celebrated Madubulum’s success in an Instagram post on Monday.

He wrote, “A new Silverbird World Marathon Dance Record has been set by 27-year-old Lilian Madubulum. She danced for an incredible 55 hours and 49 minutes, beating 24 other contestants.

“Lilian, from Anambra State, displayed remarkable confidence, determination, and resilience throughout.”

The dance marathon began on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 4:00 pm.

Madubulum surpassed the previous record of 55 hours and 40 minutes set by dancer Kaffy in 2005 at the Silverbird/Nokia Danceathon, which was then recognised by Guinness World Records for Longest Dance Party in 2006.
