A 27-year-old man identified as Omotola, also known as Ola-brain, has died by suicide in Epe area of Lagos.
Police said the incident occurred around 5:30 am on Monday.
Divisional Police Officer, Epe Branch, Ademola Ogunjobi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the deceased might have hung himself out of frustration.
Mr Ogunjobi said the corpse had been kept in a mortuary at Epe General Hospital for further investigation.
A source alleged that the victim used to be an internet fraudster before his widowed mother cautioned him to quit the act.
“The young man was found roaming around the streets and probably felt frustrated after leaving the yahoo-yahoo job and decided to hang himself,” the source said.
