2Baba appointed technical adviser to Benue governor

Music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or Tuface, has been appointed Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State.

The appointment was announced in a video that went viral on Wednesday, showing members of the governor’s cabinet applauding the decision.

Governor Alia commended the music legend for his contributions to the entertainment industry and his humanitarian efforts across the country.

“You have contributed a lot of quarters to different areas including outside the states,” the governor said.

He also appreciated 2Baba for his loyalty and support for the current administration, especially ahead of the 2027 elections.

“Let me thank you very uniquely for supporting my administration and for preparing me for 2027. I feel it will not be out of place at all because you’re a guru of entertainment. Once you say 2face, people start dancing even without a song,” Alia added.

The governor said the ‘African Queen’ singer possesses the influence and capacity to help improve the lives of the people and contribute to the state’s development.

“On behalf of the Benue State Government, we want to give you some more responsibilities… because you have the capacity to do and help us chalk the way forward, to improve other people’s lives and to gain small more from your wisdom and attachments,” he said.

Born in Jos, 2Baba hails from Idoma in Benue State and has often used his platform to advocate for social justice and community development.
