Award winning singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has paid a tribute to the late gospel singer Sammie Okposo.
Sammie Okposo, aged 51, died in his sleep on Friday November 25.
In a short tribute to the deceased, 2Baba posted a clip of Senior pastor of House on the Rock Church Paul Adefarasin leading a night of tributes for Sammie at The Experience 2022 on Friday last week.
Speaking in an Instagram post on Monday, 2Baba described Sammie as a true African king, adding that he is grateful and blessed to have met the singer.
“Maximum respect to a true African king Sammie Okposo. I’m grateful and blessed to have met you. RIP. My condolences to the entire family,” he wrote.
Meanwhile Sammie’s family on Monday announced the burial arrangements for the ‘Welu Welu’ singer.
The singer would be laid to rest at a private interment on Thursday, December 15, which would be strictly by invitation.
