Musician Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has been spotted shopping at a hair store with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, after his family raised alarm over his disappearance.

The sighting, which went viral on Saturday, comes amid concerns raised by 2Baba’s family about his whereabouts.

The 49-year-old was seen casually browsing hair products with Osawaru, just a day after reports emerged that his family had filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming he had gone missing.

According to the petition signed by their solicitor, Wilson Anuge, 2Baba was last seen on February 10, 2025, when he left his residence in loungewear for a routine walk but never returned.

Efforts by his family, staff and record label to reach him had been unsuccessful.

“This disturbing discovery, coupled with the fact that those who should hear from him have not done so for over 72 hours, has left his entire family deeply concerned,” Anuge stated.

He added that the situation was highly unusual, as 2Baba had never disappeared or abandoned his responsibilities for such a prolonged period.

The family also noted that some of his close friends had received messages from his social media accounts requesting financial assistance.

2Baba’s mother, Rose Idibia, made a public appeal to Osawaru, urging her to distance herself from the singer due to his ongoing divorce from actress Annie Idibia.

She insisted that he was not in the right frame of mind amid the legal battle.

The controversy escalated after a viral video on Thursday showed 2Baba proposing to Osawaru.

In the clip, the singer and the lawmaker danced together before he presented her with a ring and embraced her in front of friends.

A day earlier, 2Baba confirmed his relationship with Osawaru on Instagram, addressing speculation about their romance.

“I have seen so many false narratives and malicious nonsense since I posted that video,” he wrote. “Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and I want to marry her.”

Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party, was elected in April 2023.

She hails from Egor Local Government Area in Edo State.
