Entertainer and activist, Charly Boy, has stated that celebrated singer, 2face, is more of an entertainer than an activist.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with QedTV, the 67-year-old revealed his admiration for 2face, calling him a beautiful singer and entertainer but he does not have what it takes to be an activist.
The younger singer had proposed to lead a protest tagged ‘Enough is Enough in 2017 against the corruption plaguing Nigeria but pulled out after intense pressure from security agencies.
Asked if he was annoyed that the ‘African Queen’ singer pulled out of the protest, Charly Boy said, “I was not angry per say, I was a little disappointed. I got in touch with his manager who said that they would come to see me.
“2face is a beautiful singer and entertainer but he doesn’t have the baggage like the attitude, qualities and ways that comes with being an activist.
“I know 2face as a good musician but not as an activist. I was a little disappointed he backed out but then again for whatever reason I respect that because we all can’t be the same kind of people.”
