Singer 2face Idibia has reacted after his fans expressed anger over Grammy winner Burna Boy headlining a concert the former is set to perform at with Timaya, Flavour and others.
The event poster themed ‘Chop Vegas’ which 2face posted on Instagram on Thursday shows Burna Boy’s name written boldly as the headliner while the names of his senior colleagues such as 2face, Timaya and Flavour were written under.
2face’s fans who saw this as ‘disrespectful’ stormed the comment section of the post to lament as they accused the organisers of the event of not according 2face his due respect.
Reacting to the comments in an Instagram story, the 46-year-old reaffirmed his position in the music industry adding that it does not matter whose name comes first because he is already ‘too much’.
He wrote: “I understand some pip agro about the font size and disrespect and all. But my Apple na life be that. E no change the fact say I too much. Okocha and Kanu dem respect Ighalo and Obafemi Martins. Even Maradona respect Messi. E no change the fact.
“Pls, our music/ movies and culture is doing things our African government have (sic) not been able to do. let’s not fall into the trap of being our own enemies all over again.”
