Singer 2face Idibia has once again apologised to his wife Annie Idibia and his children for unspecified reasons in a lengthy post on Instagram on Monday night.
In his statement, the father of seven said he is not looking for sympathy from anyone but was only apologising for being a “shity” husband and father.
However, the 46-year-old who has on multiple occasions apologised to his wife over infidelity, did not reveal what incident triggered the fresh apology.
“Las Las. This is no stunt. I’m sorry for all the embarrassment I’ve caused my wife, my kids, my mother and all our families and my management team. I’m not looking for no sympathy I’m not trying to make myself look good. This is no reverse psychology bullshit,” he wrote.
“I simply just don’t want to be the one that always apologise. I’ve been a shity father and a shity husband and shity baby daddy. I have no excuses. I just want to do right by my wife, and my kids and their moms and my mom and all families and my manager and friends.”
Speaking further, the 46-year-old said his post has nothing to with being suicidal and he is not worried about getting cancelled by fans.
“I beg y’all to pls just face me and cancel me anyhow. I’ve been a star for so long that my bulletproof vest is worn-out. I’m not quitting or suicidal or giving up.”
“I just want to go back to my default settings and denounce my role model status and make up lost time with my kids and give y’all music that will make u remember and understand why they call me 2BABA #GRATEFUL,” he added.
2face and Annie have known each other since she was 15-year-old, having an on and off relationship since then.
Before he married Annie Idibia in 2012, 2face, also known as 2baba, had a relationship with Sunmbo Adeoye, who bore him two children, two boys, Zion and Nino.
Sunmbo is now married to David Adeoye, a resident pastor of the Royalty Christain Centre Agege, Lagos.
The singer also dated Pero, daughter of Jide Adeniyi, a billionaire businessman and chairman of Poatson Group of Companies.
Pero and 2baba have three children together, a daughter named Ehibenzy Rose Idibia and two sons named Innocent and Justin Idibia.
The Idibia family made headlines in September last year after Annie accused Pero of having an affair with her husband.
