The Genk star follows the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi who are undoubtedly two of Europe’s brightest prospects.
Ndidi is set to join the pair in the Premier League this winter after agreeing terms to move to Leicester City.
With all eyes on the defensive midfielder, we take a look at three amazing stats to mark his birthday.
- Europa League team of the group stage
Ndidi was named in Europa League team of the group stages after his remarkable display for Belgian side, Genk. The 20-year-old who started all of his club’s six games in the competition got the nod alongside Manchester United’s Paul Pogba in midfield.

2. Two goals in Europa
In those games he featured, Ndidi was on target twice. The youngster struck against Atletic Club in October before firing another in the reverse fixture a fortnight later. Aside from the goals, the youngster was named man of the match twice in the group stage.
3. Most interception and tackles in Europa
Ndidi made the most interceptions and won more tackles than any other player in the Europa League group phase. No wonder the youngster has been compared to Chelsea star, N’Golo Kante, who he is set to replace at the King Power Stadium in January.
