A 300 level medical laboratory student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) identified simply as Christabel was on Tuesday allegedly found dead in her room at Newton Street, Ekosodin area of Benin, Edo State.
Sources say the student might have consumed deadly insecticide known as Sniper mixed with a carbonated drink.
It was also said that an empty sachet of detergent was found near her body.
Christabel was said to have left a suicide note where she said that she was about taking her life because the man she loved did not love her in return after her boyfriend broke up with her.
Reports say that the suicide note, which is already in custody of the police at Ugbowo police station, was addressed to two persons whose names have been withheld.
The two persons have reportedly been invited to the police station for questioning.
