The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has failed to arraign the former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayodele Oke, and his wife, Folashade.
Mr Oke and his wife had been billed to begin trial on Friday in a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The anti-graft agency had on Wednesday filed four charges against Oke and his wife before Justice C.J. Aneke in connection with the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 (totalling N13bn).
The EFCC intercepted the money at Flat 7B Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Reports suggest that Oke and his wife had jetted out of the country since last week.
However, EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, asked the court registrars to reschedule the arraignment till February 6.
