What he is, however, known more for is releasing music.

Below are five evergreen songs by the younger brother of Dare Fasasi, better known as Baba Dee.

  1. Jagbajantis

Released in 2000, ‘Jagbajantis’  became a street anthem even before Sultan was signed to a major record label. The song addresses the standard of living and the need for unity in the country and African as a whole.

  1. Orobo

‘Orobo’ was released in 2010 off the Back from the Future album. It is a song about well-endowed women. A remix featuring Flavour was released in 2011 to wide acceptance by fans.

  1. Motherland

The song reveals the struggle, hardship and shame encountered by some Nigerians in their search for greener pastures abroad. Sound Sultan urges his compatriots not to forget their source as everyone will still have to return home one day. The song was released in 2004 of his album Textbook.

  1. Bushmeat

‘Bushmeat’ was released in 2011 and features 2face – who often describes Sound Sultan as his best friend in the music industry – and W4. It dwells on corruption and the poor state of the country.

  1. Natural Something

This song was released in 2012 off Sultan’s Me, My Mouth and Eye album. The song’s video features acts like Basketmouth, Baba Dee, Chidi Mokeme, IK Osakioduwa and DJ Jimmy Jatt.
