Abuja-based photojournalist, Yinka Adeparusi, of Naij.com was confirmed dead on Tuesday was confirmed dead two days after he went missing.
According to the police, the soft-spoken multiple award winner was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, November 13.

- Academic qualification
Adeparusi graduated with double honours in photojournalism and cinematography and minor in mass communication from the Lagos State University in 2010.
- Work experience
He did his internship at Punch Newspaper in 2007 before working with New Age Newspaper in 2008. He also worked at National Mirror for five years (2010-2015) before moving to Naij.com.
- Hobbies
Adeparusi was an avid football fan and supporter of Chelsea Football Club. He was also a rock music fan.
- Awards
He won the 6th Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting in 2011 and People’s Choice Award for Human Rights Photography in Africa, German Development Media Awards in 2013. He was 1st runner-up (photojournalist category), Nigerian Breweries Golden Pen Awards in 2012; runner-up, photojournalism, 7th Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting in 2012, finalist at the European Journalism Centre’s Click about It award in 2013 and1st runner-up, action photographer of the year, Diamond Awards for Media Excellence in 2013.
