The social media space has since Wednesday been flooded with reactions after businessman Ned Nwoko, husband of actress Regina Daniels, confirmed that he has ended his marriage to his fifth wife Laila Charani.
Ned, through his media aide, said that the marriage “degenerated to irreconcilable differences rooted in indecent conducts on the part of Laila which started whilst she was on holidays in London”.
Below are the five things Laila was accused of doing.
1 Child abandonment
Laila was accused of abandoning her children in a hotel, causing them to damage hotel property as they were left unsupervised.
“She got to London, she abandoned her kids. No money was spent on them for their clothes. She did not take them to shops but spent money on herself. The kids, left unattended, apparently caused substantial damages in their hotel suites.”
2 Domestic abuse on her children
“She beat up the kids because they told their father that their mother abandoned them.”
3 Plastic surgery
“She did plastic surgery without informing her husband.”
4 Meeting with a man
“She was also in contact with a man. Laila was always on the phone with a strange man. From secret findings, the relationship with the man started sometime in January 2021. Laila met physically in London with the man. According to her lawyer, Laila met with the man in a hotel where he was working.”
5 Going to nightclubs and contracting COVID-19
“she went nightclubs and got coronavirus.”
“The neglect of the kids, violence on them, plastic surgery without knowledge of her husband, wayward lifestyle abroad, contact with a man, police case and involvement of a lawyer in London were the major concerns that Ned Nwoko found disturbing and unacceptable. In all the weighty allegations, her only defense was that someone ‘set her up’ She never explained who did and for what purpose. When she returned to Nigeria from the UK, Ned Nwoko refused to see her and instead asked her to leave, as he could not condone her indiscretions anymore.”
