A 53-year-old TV broadcaster, Jacquie Beltrao, has revealed that she had an £11,000 (N5,234,900) facelift just before Christmas to “prolong her career.”
She said that she decided to have the facelift because “old, fat, grey, wrinkly” male stars are “always going to have a job,” DailyMail reports.
The Sky Sports presenter went under the knife at an exclusive clinic on London’s Harley Street.
She says she feels more comfortable watching herself on air.
She also wanted to celebrate five years of being cancer-free following a battle with breast cancer and mastectomy.
The broadcaster underwent the six-hour procedure in December to mark the “special occasion.”
“My first day back at work was just before Christmas – I felt great. I am more confident and what I wanted to have done has definitely been achieved – I feel great and it really freshened up my face.
“I can do those questions into the camera and feel fine looking into the reverse picture. I did this for me but if it helps me prolong my career in any way, that is a bonus,” she said.
