An eight-year-old boy named Emmanuel joined the #EndBadGovernance protest on Friday at the Ojota area of Lagos, stating that her father can no longer afford to pay her school fees or the house rent.
The young boy held a placard which reads, “My dad can’t afford to pay my school fee. Mr President Please help.”
The other side of the placard reads, “Even house rent is a problem for us.”
Emmanuel explained why she decided to participate in the protest on its second day.
“I am joining the protest because I want the federal government to reduce the prices of things,
“My dad cannot afford my school fees or the house rent. Also, Nigeria is not the same as before; things that used to cost ₦50, like biscuits, now cost ₦100,” he said.
The #EndBadGovernance protest began nationwide on Thursday.
