The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 238 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
The agency said in a tweet on Friday night that the new cases shot the total number of COVID-19 infections across the country to 2170.
Of the 238 new cases, 92 are in Kano, 36 are in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 30 in Lagos, 16 in Gombe, 10 in Bauchi, eight in Delta, six in Oyo, five each in Zamfara and Sokoto, four each in Ondo and Nasarawa, three each in Kwara, Edo, Ekiti, Borno, and Yobe.
Others are two in Adamawa, and one each in Niger, Imo, Ebonyi, Rivers and Enugu.
The NCDC said 351 coronavirus patients have recovered and have been discharged nationwide while 68 have died of the disease.
Lagos remains at the zenith of states with confirmed cases of COVID-19. It now has 1006 confirmed cases followed by Kano on 311.
The FCT is placed third on 214 and is followed by Gombe on 92.
