Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has sacked all permanent secretaries in the state with immediate effect.
The sack was conveyed in a statement on Thursday by the state’s head of service, Muhammad Na’iya.
Mr Na’iya said the sack was necessary as part of Ganduje’s vision to reinvigorate the civil service.
The affected permanent secretaries are to hand over to the most senior directors in their respective ministries or organisations on or before May 8.
Na’iya also directed them to report to his office for reassignment.
