Fuji music veteran, Adewale Ayuba, has congratulated his colleague, Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, on receiving a chieftaincy title.
The 55-year-old sent his congratulatory message via Instagram on Friday.
“Congratulations to my brother The new Agbaakin Abobagunwa of Yoruba land. May you live to achieve more in the land of the living,” he wrote.
On Wednesday, Obesere was conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammeed Oyelude, in Osun state.
The singer popularly known as ‘Omo Rapala’ was conferred as the Agbaakin of Yorubaland while his wife bagged the Yeyeluwa Agbaakin of Yorubaland.
Giving his remarks, Oyelude said Akande was found worthy in character and behaviour to be conferred with the title.
The monarch urged the musician to use his chieftaincy title for the unity and advancement of the Yorubaland.
