The Governor, who visited Sakkwai and Kutufare villages in the affected local government areas, said the damage caused by flood this raining season is unprecedented.
He said the state government has already set in motion process of ascertaining the damage done to homes and farmlands, adding that so far, many victims have been camped at government approved sites across the state.
He subsequently directed the state road maintenance agency to take urgent steps in repairing the road linking Tangaza and Gudu LGAs which had been submerged by flood.
Tambuwal also cautioned residents of the two villages to desist from any acts that could block waterways. He called on the people of the state to pray against a recurrence of the recent flood disaster.
Conducting the governor round the affected areas, Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Hassan Maccido said, the flood destroyed over 152 houses and many farmlands.
