Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived in Ekiti State to flag off the Federal Government’s National Home Grown School Feeding Programme.
He was received by the state governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Ekiti would be the 30th state enrolled in the programme, according to Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande.
Osinbajo’s convoy was blocked on Tuesday by a group of protesters along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua expressway in Abuja.
The Vice-President was on his way to the airport when his convoy met a barricade at Goza village.
The villagers were protesting alleged invasion of their land by the military.
Osinbajo was forced to alight from his car to address them as appeal from his security aides failed to appease the protesters.
