The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has overseen the demolition of Abuja nightclub, Caramelo Lounge.
The demolition comes weeks after strippers were arrested at the popular nightclub.
Located on T.O.S Benson Crescent, Utako, Abuja, the lounge which also functions as a strip club has been in the news lately.
The demolition which took place on Monday under the supervision of some officials of the Administration has been alleged to have been done without prior notice.
FCTA claims that the club is located in a residential area and that the use of the building violates the Abuja Master Plan.
A FCTA Joint Task Team, comprising the Department of Development Control, Abuja Environmental Protection Board and the Social Development Secretariat raided the club on April 26 and arrested about 70 women.
Women arrested have alleged that they were sexually assaulted at the police station, some even said that officers used sachet water nylon as condoms in the assault.
