Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has knocked the church for failing to help a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) singer who died of suicide.
The movie star expressed her disappointment via Instagram on Thursday.
“How can a pastor seat back and watch a core member who handles the microphone on sundays to lead praise and worship Not be able to pay house rent to the point of falling into deep depression and eventually takes his own life!!
“I am not a pastor,Never might be but no one who ever comes to me with a problem goes home remaining the same!!
“I will be damn the day that happens!!! Yes you cant give all your church members help but Man the church workers etc shld be helped!!” she wrote in parts.
Acting spokesman, of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Gajere Danjuma, confirmed that Michael Arowosaiye had died by suspected suicide.
Mr Arowosaiye was a gospel singer and member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
A regular performer at RCCG programmes, Mr Arowosaiye reportedly hung himself with a belt on Tuesday at Sunnyvale Estate, Lokogoma District, Abuja.
