Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Friday hosted several football legends at Lagos House, Alausa.
This comes ahead of the testimonial football match to be held in Ambode’s honour on Saturday at Agege Stadium.
In a post on Twitter, Ambode, dressed in a Nigerian jersey, announced that he hosted several ex-internationals like Victor Ikpeba, Augustine Eguavoen among other African football legends.
The testimonial match scheduled for 10am will have in attendance Liberian President and former World Footballer award winner, George Weah; Cameroonian Samuel Eto’o, Ivorians Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure.
Also to be at the occasion is Diomansy Kamara, Peterside Idah, Geremi Njitap, Michael Essien, Lomana Lua-Lua, Samuel Eto’o, Didier Zokora, Kader Keita, Richard Kingston, Christian Karembu, El- Hadji Diouf.
Others are Peter Rufai, Finidi George, Mutiu Adepoju, Samson Siasia, Augustine Eguavoen, Joseph Yobo, Ike Shorunmu, Kanu Nwankwo, Austin Jay- Jay Okocha, Daniel Amokachi.
The list includes Emmanuel Amunike, Phillip Shuaibu (Deputy Governor of Edo State), Taribo West, Victor Ezeji, Tijani Babangida, Emma Okocha, Ifeanyi Udeze, Uche Okechukwu and Garba Lawal.
