Nigerians are united in grief to mourn Adewura Bello, whose body was found in a canal in the Ipaja area of Lagos State.
Adewura had gone missing since Wednesday, May 15.
News of her death was broken on social media on Sunday.
The 26-year-old had reportedly boarded a bus heading to Egbeda from Ikeja on the day of her disappearance.
She was said to have spoken to a family member when she got to Cement Bus Stop, after which her family lost contact with her.
“Oh, this is just too sad… May her soul rest in peace…,” Mr Momodu wrote on Twitter Sunday.
Runtown said he was saddened by the news of her death.
“To say that I am saddened by the news of Adewura’s death is an understatement. A manhole? Whose responsibility was it to ensure that it was covered? Who should be held accountable? This was an avoidable loss. Sending strength and love to her family and loved ones,” he wrote.
Others have mourned Adewura who was said to be a chartered accountant.
