Lekki British International School founder, Biodun Laja, dies in US

Founder and Executive Director of Lekki British International School, Biodun Laja, has died after a back surgery in the United States.

Dr Laja, aged 69, died on May 26. She would have turned 70 in January 2020.

Reports say she suffered a cardiac arrest five days after a successful back surgery.

Laja recently celebrated her 42nd anniversary in the education sector.

She began Lekki British International School in 2001. The primary and pre-school sections kicked off two years after.

Laja is survived by two sons and many grandchildren.

She was the elder sister of National Woman Leader (South West) of All Progressives Congress (APC), Olukemi Nelson.
