Nollywood veteran, Joke Silva, has remembered her sister, the famed curator, Bisi Silva, on what would have been her 57th birthday.
Bisi died of cancer on February 12, 2019.
In a Wednesday Instagram post, Joke Silva praised her sister for an impactful life.
“57 today on the other side of eternity. There has not been a week that has gone by that someone somewhere on some part of the planet is not celebrating you. Aburo you impacted😊 Iheanyi is working hard…and the board of CCA have been troopers.
“Trust you are having fun with all the famble”.and friends on that side. Struggling not to miss you.🥂😇🙏🏽,” she wrote.
Bisi was the founder and artistic director of the much celebrated Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Yaba, Lagos.
She was also the curator of Asiko International Art School, the pan-African roaming alternative art school.
Joke Silva led friends, family and members of the Nigerian art community on Thursday, February 22 to celebrate the life of Bisi Silva with an intimate ceremony at Freedom Park in Lagos.
