Outgoing Senator Ben Murray-Bruce representing Bayelsa East in the National Assembly has come under heavy criticism after posting pictures from his son’s graduation from high school in the US.
The 63-year-old uploaded the pictures to Twitter on Sunday with the message, “At the high school graduation of my son, Cody Murray Bruce.”
A member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Murray-Bruce is known for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari for not encouraging the local economy.
His “common sense” campaign has used slogans like “buy Nigeria to grow the Naira”.
Critics of the lawmaker say he is a hypocrite to campaign that government and individuals should patronise institutions in the country while his children attend schools abroad.
