Author and director of Book Buzz Foundation, Lola Shoneyin, has knocked businessman, Cosmas Maduka, for publicly preaching with a megaphone.
A video of the industrialist sharing the gospel in what appears to be a residential area was shared via Twitter by Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu.
Quoting Mr Momodu’s tweet, Shoneyin said: “Billionaire or busboy, noise pollution is a huge problem in Nigeria.”
She later said that it was important to respect public spaces while responding to criticism of her view.
Lola Shoneyin was educated at Olabisi Onabanjo University, going on to release three collection of poems.
She is popular for her 2010 novel, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives.
Lola lives in Lagos, Nigeria, where she runs the annual Aké Arts and Book Festival.
