Tungba gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele, has denied welcoming a set of triplet with his wife, Temitope.
Reports had spread early Thursday that the singer, married to his wife for 19 years, welcomed triplet in a US hospital.
The 51-year-old debunked the rumours in a post on Instagram on Thursday.
“Fake News, Fake Pictures. That picture was taken 7yrs ago during my younger brothers naming at music house in Ibadan,” he wrote.
The singer, however, suggested that he desired to have triplet.
“Thank you all for Wishing me well and I claim it in Jesus name.”
In a January interview, Yinka Ayefele had expressed his belief that he would walk again, describing himself as an optimist.
In 2018, Ayefele’s Ibadan-based radio station, popularly called Music House, was partially demolished over what the government claimed was an infringement of urban development guidelines.
The demolishment caused widespread criticism of the state government.
Reconstruction work, however, began in November 2018 at the radio station after stakeholders and concerned parties intervened.
