General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye; and the presiding bishop of Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo will attend the interdenominational thanksgiving service in honour of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat.
The service organised by Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos chapter, will be hosted by the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Williams Kumuyi.
Kumuyi recently came under backlash on social media after he said that Nigerians should stop attacking President Muhammadu Buhari in newspapers or via the internet.
The service for Messrs Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat will be held on June 16 at Deeper Life Christian Ministry by 3 pm.
General overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Daniel Olukoya, will also be at the event.
A statement signed by the chairman of the planning committee, STV Adegbite, and secretary, Theophilus Ajose, said the thanksgiving was to praise God for peaceful transition in the state.
Over 50,000 people across various denominations are expected at the service, the statement said.
