Nollywood star, Funke Akindele, and Ghanaian actress/TV host, Ama K Abebrese, have teamed up with CEO of L’Okoye Cosmetics, Leslie Okoye, for a campaign tagged #BeautyIsConfidence.
They are joined by former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Sylvia Nduka.
According to Okoye, modern day definition of beauty should not be based on unattainable standards or media trends which creates a biased acceptance of who is considered beautiful and who isn’t.
Drawing from her personal experience of being bullied because of her looks, Okoye wants to encourage women to be confident in their bodies and in themselves.
The four women have therefore come together to promote real beauty on the platform of Okoye’s CookieSkin®.
