Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, has rejected a report submitted by a five-man committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) alleging anti-party activities against him.
Mr Yari, in a statement on Wednesday by his spokesman, Ibrahim Dosara described the report as “baseless, contemptuous and embarrassing.”
The statement said that the committes’s claims and subsequent publications in the media had “no basis, contradicted court judgement and order”.
Yari said the report and media publications “caused serious embarrassment and damage” to his personality.
The APC five-man disciplinary committee on Tuesday in Abuja received a report of alleged anti-party activities against its deputy national chairman (North), Lawal Shuaibu, and Yari.
The report blamed them for their roles in the misfortune which befell APC in Zamfara.
