Police in Rivers have rescued three Lebanese nationals who were kidnapped at a construction site in Andoni Local Government Area of the state on June 8.
Rivers police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, in a statement on Tuesday said the rescued expatriates were receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital.
He named the foreigners as Tony Stephan, Chandy Lahoud and Emile Skaff.
“The victims were rescued as a result of intense pressure mounted on them by the police and strategic role played by Chairman of Andoni area, Lawrence Paul,” Mr Omoni said.
He also said that police had intensified efforts to arrest the kidnappers.
The spokesman did not provide details of how the workers were rescued or where they were kept before their rescue.
