Comedian and motivational speaker, I Go Dye, has recalled days of his humble beginning as a budding comic.
The 40-year-old, who recently gifted his son, Roy Agoda, a mansion on his ninth birthday, shared a picture of himself on Thursday setting fire on woods.
“Whatever you attain is not based on what you know, it takes grace and divine favour to reach any goals you set,” the comedian wrote.
I Go Dye started his career presenting mock news on Delta Broadcasting Service 1994. He later got a contract as a stand-up comedian at Prest Motel in Benin City.
His exploits made him feature in a popular comedy show, Night of a Thousand Laughs, in 2000.
I Go Dye has won various awards, including African Best Comedian, The Nigeria Best Comedian Award, Delta Role model Award 2017, Nigeria best comedian Award and Niddo Spain Award; for his contribution to Nigerian culture and art.
