A friend of popular On-Air Personality, Maria Okanrende, has denied that the media personality and musician, Olamide, agreed to abort her pregnancy.
News reports in the last few days had indicated that the popular broadcaster was expecting a child for the rapper.
It was also erroneously reported that Okan was given N2m to have an abortion.
Speaking to Pulse.ng exclusively, a friend of the MTV Shuga actress confirmed that the lovers had agreed to keep the baby in prior discussions.
“They discussed options. He said the decision is hers. She kept it and they planned to co-parent from the beginning,” Maria’s friend informed.
She also said that after arriving the UK, Okan had a health scare as the pregnancy was deemed high-risk and she has been observed every week since then.
The anonymous informant also added that Olamde had indeed sent the former Beat FM staff money, but it was only to buy stuff for the baby.
Maria who once co-hosted the popular “Morning Rush” show on Beat 99.9FM had described her 32nd birthday on Sunday as the ‘best ever’ with pictures of her baby bump in its eighth month.
