The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the quarter-final of the 32nd African Cup of Nations after defeating Cameroon on Saturday.
Cameroon replied Nigeria’s 19th minute goal with two goals of theirs in a frantic first half.
The Super Eagles had opened the scoring through Odion Ighalo early on and looked to be in control till the flurry of goals.
The Cameroonians ended the first half in control and leading on the scoreboard.
Sensing the match slipping away from Nigeria in the second half , head coach, Gernot Rohr, sent on youngster, Samuel Chukwueze, in the 60th minute.
His gamble was instantly rewarded with Ighalo scoring the equalising goal in the 63rd minute.
Arsenal midfielder, Alex Iwobi, grabbed the winner in the 66th minute, getting on the end of an Ighalo assist.
