President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has welcomed the Super Eagles from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The players were received with cheers on their arrival on Friday.
Mr Mustapha was accompanied by other government officials in receiving the Eagles who returned home after beating Tunisia on Wednesday to clinch bronze medals.
Team captain, Ahmed Musa, addressed the government officials on behalf of the players.
An early goal from Nigeria forward, Odion Ighalo, who has announced his retirement from international football, sealed the victory for Nigeria on Wednesday.
Mikel Obi also announced his retirement on Thursday, attracting accolades from sports enthusiasts.
