Pop musician, Burna Boy, on Tuesday night appeared on American talk show, The Daily Show, hosted by South African comedian, Trevor Noah.
The 28-year-old musician interrupted Trevor at the beginning of the interview to share his first meeting with the comedian.

“This guy is a legend cos I’m from Nigeria and I still used to spend a lot of time in South Africa,” Burna Boy began.
He continued saying that in 2014 he was on a boat trip in Cape Town with a girl who wanted to join the crowd to meet Trevor.
Burna said he asked the girl to ‘Stay put’ when she requested to go and meet Trevor.

The singer said he began following Trevor’s programme after that encounter.
“I appreciate that. Most people would be like that was when I started hating you,” Trevor replied as they both shared a laugh.
Burna Boy recently dropped his album ‘African Giant’ which became the highest-ranking African album in the United Kingdom.

The critically-acclaimed album debuted at number 16 on the UK albums chart.
It also debuted at number 104 on Billboard’s 200 charts, solidifying its global recognition and acceptance value.
