Iyanya, is one of the most sought after men in the Nigerian music industry.
He was born Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk on October 31, 1986 in Palm Street, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.
After emerging winner of music reality show, MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2008, Iyanya released his debut album My Story under CN Media Imprint in 2009 with singles like ‘Iyanya’ and ‘Love Truly’.
His career entered high gear in 2011 after he released the hit track ‘Kukere’. The single achieved global success, particularly in Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom.
Since the success of ‘Kukere’, Iyanya has released various hit tracks including ‘Ur Waist’, ‘Flavour’, ‘Sexy Mama’, ‘Jombolo’ ‘Applaudise’, ‘Mr Oreo’ and ‘Chukwudi’.
He also released two other albums Desire and Applaudise in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
Iyanya has won various awards including 2013 The Headies for Artiste of the Year and 2013 Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Hottest Single of the Year.
He is the co-owner of Made Men Music Group, the record label that houses Emma Nyra, Tekno, Selebobo and Baci.
The chest-baring act was an item with Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, but the two ended their relationship on a sour note.
Currently, the hunky star is rumoured to be in a relationship with Oasis Med Spa CEO, Freda Francis.
