Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna, has said that Nigerians are known for fraud because they are smart, not because they are bad people.
A 252-count federal grand jury indictment unsealed last Thursday charged the 77 Nigerians with participating in a massive conspiracy to steal millions of dollars through a variety of fraud schemes and launder the funds through a Los Angeles-based money laundering network.
The 33-year-old said this on popular New-York radio show, The Breakfast Club.
“The reason Nigerians are known for scamming is not because we are bad people. It’s because we are smarter than a lot of people,” he said.

Jidenna added that this was why Nigerians they excel in sports and other spheres of life.
Last Friday, Jidenna, has released his sophomore album, 85 to Africa.

The rollout of his album involved parties in different cities across America as the bi-racial star was videoed dancing with various ladies.
