A 29-year-old woman has bled to death in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State after allegedly taking drugs for abortion.
Chinasa Odah, a mother of four, bled to death at Sudan Hospital on August 24.

Odah, a native of Inikiri Effum community, was alleged to have had a sexual relationship with her boyfriend, Monday Mgbada.
Mr Mgbada, 25, was reported to have administered the abortion pills on her.
The victim’s husband, Michael Odah, found out of his wife’s pregnancy and attempted abortion after taking her to the hospital when she began bleeding.
A source was quoted by City Round saying: “Chinasa was bleeding from her private parts. When she was questioned, she opened up that one Monday Mgbada impregnated her and administered abortion drugs on her. As soon as she made that statement, she gave up the ghost.”

Ebonyi police spokesperson, Loveth Odah, confirmed the incident, saying the man has been arrested.
“The man has been arrested and investigation is ongoing. The suspect will be arraigned after investigation. The woman is 29 years old and has four children before going for extra-marital affairs. The man will be charged with murder,” she said.
